The role being offered is a Food Service Worker position within LifeBridge Health. This position plays a critical part in patient care by ensuring the timely and safe preparation, display, and service of food items for patients, special functions, and cafeteria services. The Food Service Worker is responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety in the workspace to comply with health regulations and protect patient welfare. Typical duties include preparing both hot and cold foods according to standardized recipes to maintain par levels, minimize waste, and ensure food reaches appropriate temperatures. The role involves preparing baked goods and food items for various service points including patient meals and special functions. The Food Service Worker collaborates with cafeteria cooks and aides to monitor portion sizes and serving utensils, ensuring consistency and quality food service. The position requires a minimum of 1-3 years of experience, with Serve Safe Food Handler certification preferred.
