Job Description
Meadow Lake Senior Living is a comprehensive and full-service retirement community that offers a range of living environments and healthcare services to seniors. Located in a welcoming community, Meadow Lake caters to individuals seeking independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation. The organization is dedicated to enhancing the lives of its residents through innovative approaches, compassionate care, and top-tier amenities. Its holistic focus on senior health and wellness positions Meadow Lake as a trusted name in senior living and healthcare. With a team of committed associates, Meadow Lake actively fosters a culture of professionalism, respect, and outstanding service, aimed at delivering quality care and improving the overall resident experience.
The role of Cook within Meadow Lake's Dining Services department is integral to maintaining the high standards of nourishment and dining satisfaction for residents and guests. This position is ideal for candidates with experience working in healthcare-style settings or similar environments, who are passionate about food preparation and capable of managing meal services at scale. The Cook will be responsible for preparing meals across various dining times, specifically from early morning breakfast to evening dinner, ensuring adherence to nutritional standards and dietary needs. The role demands proficiency in food handling regulations, safety protocols, and the ability to follow or develop recipes catering to diverse dietary requirements. The shift options include two periods: an early morning to early afternoon shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm or a mid-morning to early evening shift from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm, making the schedule adaptable for different candidates.
In addition to culinary skills, successful candidates must pass drug and background screenings, underscoring Meadow Lake's commitment to resident safety and trust. The work environment is team-oriented, with a focus on providing a pleasant dining experience for seniors, reflecting both care and professionalism. Joining the Meadow Lake team means contributing to a cause that extends beyond cooking—supporting senior well-being and enriching the community life of the residents. This position offers a meaningful opportunity for cooks who wish to apply their culinary expertise in a setting that values health, nutrition, and community care.
