Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking experience preferably in healthcare or senior living settings
- Understanding of food safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
- Flexibility to work Sunday and Monday evenings
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role ideally in healthcare or senior living
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to follow recipes, adjust portion sizes, and prepare meals for large groups
- Compassionate and caring attitude with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of seniors
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and organized environment
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences
- Follow food safety guidelines to maintain sanitation and cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
- Prepare special meals for residents with dietary restrictions such as low-sodium, diabetic, vegetarian, or gluten-free
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth meal preparation and service
- Support a positive and respectful work environment
