The company culture emphasizes teamwork, open communication, and continuous training, fostering a workplace where employees can grow their skills while contributing to the hotel's success.
NOUN Hotel is currently hiring for Cook positions at levels I, II, and III. These full-time, non-management roles are vital in supporting the hotel’s food and beverage operations. As a cook, the individual will prepare a variety of foods for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at an assigned kitchen station. The role involves setting up and breaking down workstations while adhering to established standards and safety and sanitation policies. Additionally, cooks assist in banquet preparations, ensuring high-quality food is delivered efficiently and in a timely manner.
The position demands a responsible professional who can maintain detailed knowledge of menus, recipes, and food quality standards, and who can assist in managing kitchen line operations and staffing recommendations. Cooks will be expected to prepare ingredients, operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and stoves, and ensure that food presentation meets company standards. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and equipment is a critical daily responsibility.
Employees in this role must demonstrate the ability to follow recipes accurately, use good judgment, and work well within a team environment. The role involves physical demands including standing for long periods, handling hot and cold food environments, lifting heavy items occasionally, and maintaining flexible availability including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Compensation for this position ranges from $16 to $18 per hour. NOUN Hotel offers an inclusive workplace and equal opportunity employment. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with a passion for culinary arts, experience in high-volume restaurant environments, and those looking to advance their culinary careers in a supportive and dynamic setting.
