This job opening is for a full-time, onsite Cook position based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a Cook for Summit, you will join a motivated and energetic kitchen team where your primary responsibility will be preparing and serving high-quality meals in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills through scratch cooking methods while maintaining quality and portion control. The ideal candidate will possess prior culinary experience, an eye for detail, and a passion for preparing delicious food under safety and regulatory standards.

The Cook will be entrusted with various responsibilities including food preparation, ensuring safe food handling practices, creative food presentation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and proper food storage. This position demands adherence to strict policies, procedures, and recipes to guarantee food safety and customer satisfaction. Summit values candidates who can multitask efficiently and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. A working knowledge of culinary techniques, equipment usage, and food differentiation is essential.

Summit offers a competitive compensation rate of $18.00 per hour. The employment is full-time and requires working onsite in Albuquerque. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume kitchen
  • knowledge of culinary methods and safety standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to use kitchen tools and equipment safely
  • customer service experience

Job Qualifications

  • At least one years prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards
  • excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
  • ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items
