This full-time Cook position is located within the Bartlett City Schools district and involves working weekdays with varying shifts, with open availability preferred. The pay range for the role is between $7.25 and $16.00 per hour, reflecting varying levels of experience and performance. As a Cook at Sodexo, you will play a vital role in preparing, cooking, portioning, and presenting a diverse array of hot and cold food items for all meal periods and events. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good working knowledge of food preparation
  • Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment
  • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with federal, state and corporate standards
  • Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records
  • Maintain mobility by walking or other means
  • Walk or stand for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Reach, bend, stoop, push or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive motions
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time
  • Carry out other duties as assigned based on account needs
