Job Description
Dial is a well-established organization committed to enriching the lives of older adults through dedicated care and community living. Focused on creating a warm, supportive environment where residents feel like family, Dial emphasizes the importance of adding life to their years while also adding years to their lives. This company prides itself on fostering a workplace culture that values teamwork, learning, and service, enabling team members to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact in the lives of those they serve. Employees at Dial gain the opportunity to work alongside knowledgeable seniors and experienced colleagues who contribute expertise and mentorship, enhancing work satisfaction and professional development.
Dial operates as a community living and care provider, focused on high-quality nutritional services that contribute to the overall well-being of its residents. The company offers a comprehensive employment package that includes competitive pay and a range of perks designed to improve the work-life balance and satisfaction of its staff. Team members enjoy benefits such as birthday and anniversary paid time off, tuition assistance, double pay on holidays, PTO accrual from day one, and referral bonuses. Additional wellness benefits include free meals during shifts, loyalty incentives, an employee recognition program, and discounts through major telecom providers. Dial also provides financial security benefits like medical, dental, and vision insurance, basic term life and accidental death insurance, 401K retirement plans, and flexible spending accounts for dependent care.
The role available is a Food Preparation position that plays an integral part in delivering exceptional nutrition and meal variety to the community's residents. The position requires preparing food aligned with carefully planned weekly menus that meet the dietary and health needs of residents. Attention to detail is critical, as the role involves adapting recipes to accommodate special dietary requirements and ensuring meals are prepared with little or no added sodium to promote health. Presentation and portion control are essential to maintain budget constraints while ensuring an appealing dining experience.
Candidates in this role must be comfortable handling food preparation tasks, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and adhering to infection control standards. Responsibilities extend beyond cooking to include coordinating with the team for efficient operations, reporting issues with kitchen equipment, and actively engaging with residents to encourage participation in food service programs. Confidentiality and professionalism are also vital, as the position involves handling sensitive information related to residents and operational activities. Employees are expected to attend scheduled meetings, report injuries promptly, and contribute positively to the team atmosphere.
This role offers an opportunity for individuals with experience in commercial or domestic cooking, especially those comfortable working with large groups. While certification in food preparation is preferred, a willingness to learn and a passion for working with older adults are highly valued. The role integrates hands-on kitchen skills with interpersonal communication and teamwork, making it suitable for candidates keen on contributing to a caring and dynamic community environment. Overall, Dial offers a fulfilling career path with both personal and professional growth opportunities in a supportive and rewarding workplace built on respect, care, and community spirit.
