Job Description

Red Lobster is a renowned family-owned seafood restaurant chain that has been serving guests for over fifty years. Originating from a single family-owned establishment, Red Lobster has grown into a multi-unit restaurant group with over 500 locations. The company is deeply rooted in the communities it serves, emphasizing a commitment to quality seafood, exceptional dining experiences, and a welcoming atmosphere where guests and team members form lasting connections. Red Lobster is more than just a place to eat; it is a place where customers enjoy their favorite meals and create memorable moments. The brand prides itself on its passion for seafood and a strong connection to coastal traditions, which reflects in its menu and service standards.

The role of a Cook at Red Lobster is an essential position within the kitchen team. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling with competitive wages and weekly pay, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking steady income with work-life balance. The position also comes with options for medical, dental, and vision insurance starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Additionally, employees can participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match after one year of service and be eligible for anniversary pay under certain conditions. Red Lobster additionally provides discounted shift meals and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. There are plenty of opportunities for career growth and advancement as the company invests in training and developing its team members.

As a Cook, the individual will be responsible for preparing dishes according to recipe specifications ensuring quality, freshness, and portion control. The role involves setting up and stocking prep and line stations efficiently, maintaining sanitary and safe practices, cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils, and inspecting food preparation areas for compliance with health standards. The Cook will also assist or substitute for other kitchen positions during peak periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. Physical demands include the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift items up to 60 pounds, as well as stand throughout an 8 to 12 hour shift. Culinary experience is preferred but not mandatory, making this a great entry-level role for those passionate about the food industry and eager to grow within a respected restaurant brand.

Join Red Lobster and be a part of a dynamic team where BIG plans are underway for the future. The company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace, ensuring fair employment opportunities regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. This is a great time to become a part of the Red Lobster family, contributing to the rich legacy and bright future of a beloved seafood dining leader.
