At Carlton, the primary focus lies in providing personalized care that enhances the quality of life for each resident. This esteemed senior living community understands the importance of empathy, kindness, and respect in caregiving, valuing the emotional and physical well-being of its residents alike. Carlton believes that a compassionate and dedicated workforce makes all the difference in achieving this goal, building a culture that emphasizes a "culture of caring". This culture is deeply embedded within their philosophy and reflects itself in every interaction between staff and residents. The company cultivates a warm atmosphere where residents feel valued and secure, while employees feel appreciated and supported. Carlton Senior Living takes pride in offering its employees competitive benefits, comprehensive hands-on training, and ample opportunities for growth and career advancement — all of which contribute to strong retention and employee satisfaction. Joining Carlton means becoming part of a team that not only prioritizes excellent resident care but also the happiness and well-being of every staff member, fostering a positive, rewarding work environment.

The role of a Cook at Carlton Senior Living is a vital part of this supportive community. This position demands culinary expertise combined with a caring attitude to meet the dietary and nutritional needs of older adults. The Cook will be responsible for preparing a diverse menu of delicious, nutritious meals that adhere to established recipes and standards for seasoning, doneness, and presentation. Working closely with kitchen and care teams, the Cook plays an essential role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, which is critical for the health and safety of residents. The schedule for this position is Saturday through Monday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, offering a consistent routine while contributing significantly to the quality of daily life of residents. The pay rate is $17 per hour, reflecting the value Carlton places on skilled culinary professionals. The Cook will also assist with managing food inventory, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring proper handling of ingredients such as meats, produce, and baked goods. Beyond culinary responsibilities, the Cook supports safety protocols, emergency response plans, and elopement prevention measures, underscoring the holistic focus of Carlton on resident safety and well-being. Moreover, the Cook fosters a warm and collaborative environment, engaging positively with residents, their families, and other team members to enhance the communal atmosphere of the senior living community. By joining Carlton as a Cook, individuals will be contributing directly to the daily happiness and health of older adults, supported by a strong framework of benefits including annual raises, anniversary bonuses, immediate pay options, fitness and education reimbursement programs, complimentary employee meals, holiday pay, sick and vacation time, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, among others. This is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about serving others and want to grow their careers within a compassionate, mission-driven organization.
