Part of the globally recognized Marriott International brand, this hotel offers guests exceptional hospitality, modern amenities, and a comfortable setting suitable for both business and leisure travelers. The property features elegant event spaces, diverse dining options, and well-appointed guest rooms, positioning itself as a premier destination within the Dallas-Plano metropolitan area. Committed to excellence and guest satisfaction, the Dallas/Plano Marriott facilitates a dynamic work environment that encourages career growth and employee development through innovative partnerships and professional training programs.

The Food and Beverage and Culinary team at the Dallas/Plano Marriott is currently seeking a dedicated Culinary Associate to join its evening shift. This is a full-time, non-management role based onsite at the Legacy Town Center location. The position offers an hourly wage of $20.00, reflecting the company's commitment to competitive and fair compensation. Culinary Associates will play a vital role in preparing ingredients, cooking meals according to set recipes and quality standards, maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols within kitchen operations, and supporting the overall guest experience through high standards of food preparation and presentation.

One of the unique opportunities provided through this position is the partnership between the Marriott and Rouxbe Cooking School, an online culinary training platform offering comprehensive educational resources for associates. This self-paced program allows culinary team members at all skill levels to enhance their culinary knowledge and skills through hundreds of visually engaging lessons, which they can immediately integrate into their daily responsibilities. This emphasis on continuous learning reflects Marriott's dedication to employee career progression and culinary excellence.

In this role, Culinary Associates will be responsible for a variety of food preparation tasks, including portioning, chopping, washing, peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, and preparing cold foods. They will handle kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, ensuring that food is cooked to perfection and meets safety and presentation standards. Monitoring food quality, testing doneness, and adhering to strict temperature controls are critical to maintaining the highest levels of food safety and guest satisfaction.

Additionally, associates are expected to set up and break down workstations efficiently, maintain cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen tools and surfaces, and follow all safety and security policies strictly. The role also demands adherence to professional appearance and conduct standards, as well as strong communication skills to foster positive working relationships within the team. Physical stamina is essential, as the position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and safely handling objects up to 25 pounds.

Overall, this Culinary Associate role is ideal for individuals passionate about the culinary arts, eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment, and committed to delivering outstanding food service experiences. It offers a blend of hands-on kitchen work, professional growth opportunities, and the chance to be part of a respected and globally renowned hospitality brand.
