Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. is a renowned family-owned American Chinese Restaurant concept that has been serving authentic Asian dining experiences since 1983. Founded in Glendale, California, the company has grown to become the largest family-owned chain in its category in the United States, boasting nearly 2,800 locations globally. Panda Restaurant Group is synonymous with quality, community engagement, and a strong family-oriented workplace culture. It places a significant emphasis on inspiring its employees and building an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. The company’s ethos revolves around delivering exceptional food, service, and ambiance, with a commitment to diversity, equality, and employee well-being.

The role of a Panda Cook associate is pivotal within the organization. As an essential part of the kitchen team, the Cook is responsible for creating food with passion, ensuring that every dish adheres to company recipes and standards. The position is at the heart of the kitchen operations, where teamwork, speed, accuracy, and customer service are paramount. Working in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment, a Panda Cook is more than just a food preparer — they are leaders who help create a vibrant and welcoming dining experience for guests. This role carries the important task of guiding and assisting the kitchen team with training, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen processes.

The Cook must handle a variety of responsibilities related to Back of House operations, including preparing meals, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding health and safety standards. Given the dynamic nature of the restaurant environment, the role demands both physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Pay ranges from $24 to $27 per hour, with individual pay based on factors such as location and experience. Panda Restaurant Group is also deeply committed to providing its employees with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth, fostering an environment where hard work is recognized and rewarded. This career path offers a solid foundation for those interested in growing into management positions within the company.

Working at Panda means being part of a diverse and inclusive team where every associate is valued and supported. The company adheres strictly to equal opportunity laws and provides reasonable accommodations to ensure all employees can perform their roles effectively. The Cook position is ideal for individuals who enjoy both the culinary arts and working collaboratively in a high-energy setting, enjoy learning and leadership opportunities, and are eager to contribute to a positive and memorable dining experience for guests. By joining Panda Restaurant Group as a Cook, associates become integral contributors to a respected and thriving organization that honors family values and community connection.
