The Cook role at Summit’s Wahoo correctional facility is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a cook, you will work alongside a motivated and energetic kitchen staff dedicated to excellence in food preparation and safety. The position requires someone who thrives in a volume-driven culinary setting, emphasizing scratch cooking to maintain meal quality and nutritional standards. You will be responsible for cooking, portion control, creative food presentation, and ensuring that all food items are stored and handled safely according to strict regulations. Safety and sanitation are paramount in this role, with a strong focus on adhering to food handling policies, kitchen cleanliness, and equipment maintenance.

Additional certifications, such as a food handler’s certification, are considered advantageous.
