Job Description
Outback Steakhouse is a renowned Australian-themed restaurant brand that first opened its doors in March 1988. Known for its unique ambience and passionate approach to dining, Outback Steakhouse has become synonymous with quality food, outstanding service, and a welcoming environment that reflects the spirit of the Australian outback. As a franchisee of this well-established brand, our restaurant is committed to maintaining the high standards that the Outback Steakhouse name represents. We pride ourselves on fostering a culture where our staff, affectionately known as "Outbackers," are valued and respected. This culture of respect and camaraderie creates an enthusiastic workplace where dedication and fun coexist harmoniously.
Our guiding philosophy is to treat both customers and team members "Just Right," a principle we believe is key to achieving success. Each guest is treated like a member of our own family, ensuring an experience that is memorable, friendly, and satisfying. We are equally invested in the professional growth of our employees, providing training to help each Outbacker reach their fullest potential. We seek team members who are hardworking, fun-loving, and committed to contributing positively to our restaurant's success.
The role we are offering is crucial in upholding the quality and efficiency that our customers expect. As a Kitchen Cook at Outback Steakhouse, you will be responsible for the preparation of food items from our diverse and extensive menu. Precision and speed are essential, as is pride in every dish you prepare. Our kitchen is designed with large workstation areas to facilitate smooth operations and includes various line cook positions such as Salad, Fry, Dessert, Saute, Grill, and Make Up, along with Kitchen Prep Cooks.
Your responsibilities will also include maintaining kitchen equipment and ensuring your workspace is clean and orderly, thereby supporting overall kitchen safety and sanitation standards. Teamwork is key, and working collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff to meet preparation and food delivery standards is expected. You will be trained to prepare food following strict food safety regulations, using the proper tools and recipe specifications under the guidance of our management team. Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and proper restocking during shifts are vital to maintaining the quality and reputation of our kitchen operations.
Overall, this role blends technical cooking skills, attention to cleanliness and safety, and a positive team-oriented attitude. If you are passionate about food, eager to learn and develop within a supportive team environment, and ready to take on a role that combines fun with responsibility, then this is an excellent opportunity to join the Outback Steakhouse family and grow professionally in a well-respected franchise setting.
