Recognized for their commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, SSP America operates a wide array of restaurant brands ranging from fast casual to fine dining, ensuring travelers enjoy great meals and exceptional service on the go. As a part of the global SSP Group, the company operates with a vision to enhance the travel experience by delivering memorable dining that reflects the local culture and cuisines. SSP America supports its employees through career development programs, competitive compensation, and a supportive working environment. Located inside Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), SSP America's outlets provide quick-service and full-service dining options that cater to the diverse needs of travelers passing through one of the busiest airports in the United States.

The company is currently hiring full-time Line Cooks to join its dynamic kitchen teams inside PHX Airport. The Line Cook role is essential in delivering high-quality meals efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and kitchen cleanliness. Earning a competitive wage of $27.55 per hour, the position offers two weeks paid vacation, referral bonuses, and an employer contribution covering 95% of benefits costs. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, and numerous opportunities for career advancement. The role requires professionals who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and work collaboratively to uphold the culinary standards SSP America is known for.

Line Cooks at SSP America are responsible for following recipes meticulously, practicing precise portion control, and presenting dishes in an appealing manner. They ensure that kitchen stations are set up properly and remain well organized throughout their shifts. Additionally, Line Cooks are tasked with operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, completing opening and closing checklists, and performing assigned cleaning duties to comply with health and safety guidelines. The position also demands excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring seamless service to guests.

Candidates should be at least 18 years old with at least one year of line cook experience, and a high school diploma is preferred. The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is essential, along with basic math skills to manage measurements and portioning. Brand certification requirements may apply based on the restaurant brand within the airport. Physical endurance is necessary as the role involves standing for extended periods and working in confined kitchen spaces. SSP America prides itself on fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace where diversity is valued, and reasonable accommodations are provided during the hiring process if needed. This is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals looking to grow their careers within a reputable company that prioritizes employee development and work-life balance.
