We are currently seeking motivated and engaged individuals to join our team as Cooks. This role is fundamental in ensuring that all meals prepared meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and taste. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a wide variety of food items following established recipes and standards, while closely monitoring the production process to guarantee consistency and compliance with safety regulations. The position offers a starting wage of $26.46 per hour, along with competitive benefits that provide opportunities to see the world. The Cook’s duties include assembling equipment according to airline specifications and following strict procedures and assembly diagrams. You will be required to package and prepare alcoholic beverages for airline flights, maintain production areas in line with sanitation standards and customer requirements, and accurately document inventory as per company policies. Additionally, you will work closely with other team members and support Hot Food leadership by monitoring production quality and efficiency. This role demands teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions meticulously. Additional duties may also be assigned as necessary by management. This position often requires the handling of various food products like seafood, beef, pork, poultry, fruits, and vegetables, and involves working in a dynamic environment with exposure to extreme temperature changes and noise. There is a physical aspect as well, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving products, equipment, and supplies up to 50 pounds regularly during shifts exceeding eight hours.

Job Requirements

  • Handle various food products such as seafood, beef, pork, poultry, fruits, and vegetables
  • Handle knives and kitchen tools properly
  • Work assigned schedule which may vary and could include weekends and holidays
  • Work overtime when required
  • Arrive to work on-time
  • Completes paperwork and related administrative duties

  • Handles pork, poultry, meat and fish products
  • Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds frequently during shift
  • Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree and/or cook certification is preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment is preferred
  • Experience with maintaining temperature logs for all food items prepared
  • Recipe conversion experience required to accommodate the kitchen’s daily production needs
