The Cook position at Out West Restaurant Group offers an exciting opportunity to join the Outback family, where you can have fun, make money, and build a career. This role is vital in delivering an AUS-SOME dining experience by preparing delicious, high-quality food items that meet the restaurant’s standards. Cooks are responsible for working collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, managing kitchen equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are upheld. The position involves working various stations including salad, fry, sauté, grill, and makeup, as well as kitchen prep positions. The compensation for the Cook role ranges from $18.50 to $21.50 per hour and this role is not eligible for tips. Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
  • Able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
  • Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
  • Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Visual ability including distance, close, color, depth and peripheral
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is an asset
