The Cook position at Sodexo within the UNITED CLUB - HNL location offers a part-time employment opportunity, paying $20.25 per hour. This role is integral to Sodexo's mission to deliver outstanding culinary experiences to clients and guests. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, portioning, and cooking a variety of hot and cold food items in line with Sodexo's high culinary standards. The role demands precision, consistency, and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment. It involves preparing meals for different service periods and special events while adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards.

This position requires flexibility, as shifts and working hours may vary to meet business demands, with open availability preferred. The Cook supports the team by maintaining a clean and organized workspace and contributes to a collaborative and efficient kitchen environment. Beyond food preparation, the Cook will also be responsible for recipe execution, tasting, portion estimation, and ensuring the right quantity of ingredients are ordered and available. The role demands physical stamina including standing for extended periods, mobility, and the ability to lift and move heavy items safely.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food handling
  • ability to follow instructions
  • good working knowledge of food preparation
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • punctuality and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
  • good understanding of food preparation
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • ability to read and follow recipes independently
