Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • minimum one year restaurant or senior living cooking experience
  • able to stand or walk for up to eight hours per day
  • able to bend, stoop, and stretch frequently
  • manual dexterity for preparing food
  • ability to use standard industrial kitchen appliances
  • able to lift up to 50 lbs independently
  • may be exposed to extreme temperatures and industrial cleaning chemicals
  • able to see, hear, and communicate with others

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • culinary degree preferred
  • minimum one year of cooking experience in restaurant or senior living settings
  • knowledge of cooking preparation and production
  • ability to use industrial kitchen appliances
  • physical stamina to stand or walk up to eight hours
  • manual dexterity for food preparation

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items according to standardized recipes
  • maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization
  • adhere to food safety, quality, appearance, and presentation standards
  • produce and serve menu programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
  • demonstrate speed, accuracy, and efficiency in cooking
  • assist with meal serving and ware washing
  • visit residents to evaluate food service and make operational improvements
