Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- minimum one year restaurant or senior living cooking experience
- able to stand or walk for up to eight hours per day
- able to bend, stoop, and stretch frequently
- manual dexterity for preparing food
- ability to use standard industrial kitchen appliances
- able to lift up to 50 lbs independently
- may be exposed to extreme temperatures and industrial cleaning chemicals
- able to see, hear, and communicate with others
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- culinary degree preferred
- minimum one year of cooking experience in restaurant or senior living settings
- knowledge of cooking preparation and production
- ability to use industrial kitchen appliances
- physical stamina to stand or walk up to eight hours
- manual dexterity for food preparation
Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to standardized recipes
- maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and operational organization
- adhere to food safety, quality, appearance, and presentation standards
- produce and serve menu programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
- demonstrate speed, accuracy, and efficiency in cooking
- assist with meal serving and ware washing
- visit residents to evaluate food service and make operational improvements
