With a strong commitment to social, economic, and environmental progress, Sodexo operates worldwide, providing comprehensive catering, food service, and integrated facilities management solutions. Known for its culture of belonging and emphasis on employee development and support, Sodexo offers flexible work arrangements, extensive training programs, and a supportive workplace designed to help employees thrive both professionally and personally.

Within this dynamic organization, the position of Cook is vital in maintaining Sodexo’s high culinary standards and commitment to quality. The Cook role, based at a food manufacturing location, involves preparing, cooking, portioning, and presenting a diverse range of hot and cold food items aligned with Sodexo’s established quality, presentation, and safety standards. This is a full-time employment opportunity, with weekday morning shifts, offering competitive pay ranging from $17 to $19.50 per hour. The role demands working in a fast-paced kitchen environment requiring efficiency, accuracy, and a strong focus on food safety and sanitation.

As a Cook at Sodexo, candidates will engage in the preparation of meals consistent with federal, state, and corporate food service regulations. The role includes following recipes precisely, seasoning, tasting, and serving various dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts. Additionally, the cook will estimate food requirements, monitor production, and keep accurate records to ensure optimal supply management and kitchen operations. Physical demands are significant; employees should be able to walk or stand for extended periods, frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks with stamina and focus.

Working as part of a cohesive kitchen team, the Cook helps deliver a superior dining experience with a commitment to quality and service excellence. Opportunities for advancement and ongoing training are supported, designed to transition this role from a job to a fulfilling career. Moreover, Sodexo emphasizes inclusivity and equal employment opportunities regardless of any personal characteristics, promoting workplace fairness and respect. The incorporation of site-specific benefits such as meals during shifts, uniforms, safety footwear, and transportation or parking assistance may apply, depending on location.

This job is suited for individuals who have a passion for food preparation, adhere to safety and sanitation standards, and thrive in a physically active, fast-paced environment. It also requires reliability, the ability to work independently following recipes and instructions, and a readiness to adapt to varying operational needs. Sodexo’s Cook role not only offers a competitive hourly wage but also a comprehensive benefits package supporting the employee’s well-being and professional growth in a globally respected company with a meaningful mission.
