Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • two years cooking or catering experience
  • obtain National Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire
  • ability to work variable shifts
  • comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • physical ability to perform food preparation tasks
  • commitment to providing high-quality patient-focused food service

Job Qualifications

  • vocational training in food production preferred
  • experience in hospital food production preferred
  • two years cooking or catering experience
  • possession of a National Food Handler Card within 30 days of hire

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve quality food in appropriate quantities and in a timely manner
  • follow established recipes and menus
  • ensure all safety and sanitation requirements are met
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation areas
  • assist in catering for patients, employees, staff, and visitors
  • comply with healthcare food service standards
  • manage inventory and report supply needs
