Job Description

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is a leading provider of food and nutrition services dedicated to supporting healthcare and senior living facilities across the United States. Established with a mission to positively impact the communities we serve, HCSG exemplifies excellence in delivering tailored foodservice solutions that promote health, well-being, and comfort among residents. Our commitment is deeply rooted in enhancing customer and resident experiences through fresh, nutritious, and well-prepared meals, all while adhering to the highest standards of safety and quality. As an industry leader, HCSG supports a diverse and inclusive workforce, offering meaningful career opportunities and fostering a culture of development and respect.

The role of Cook at HCSG is pivotal in fulfilling our promise of exceptional service and nourishment within a long-term care environment. This position requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes that meet nutritional requirements and resident preferences. Working with a focus on food quality, taste, and presentation, the Cook ensures every dish served adheres to HCSG’s high standards. Beyond cooking, this role involves strict compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines, helping maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment to protect the well-being of residents and staff. The Cook also plays an essential part in inventory management, supporting the ordering of supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Interaction with residents and staff is a valued component of this job, where excellent customer service and a positive attitude contribute to the welcoming atmosphere of the facility.

As part of HCSG's team, you will benefit from comprehensive support including free telemedicine, a free prescription discount program, employee assistance programs, and financial wellness resources. We encourage continuous hands-on training and career development to help you grow professionally while making a meaningful impact every day. Starting pay is competitive at $15.00 per hour, reflecting our belief in fair compensation for the vital work performed. The Cook position demands stamina, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks while working around food and cleaning products. Candidates must adhere to COVID-19 vaccination policies and, depending on state or county laws, hold current ServSafe or food handler certification. Residency within the service area is required to support timely and reliable attendance.

If you are passionate about delivering nourishing meals in a caring environment and want to build a rewarding career with a company that values diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity, HCSG invites you to apply. Join us in making a difference in the lives of residents and contributing to a supportive, culturally inclusive team where your authentic self is welcomed and encouraged to thrive.
