Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- good working knowledge of food preparation
- familiarity with kitchen equipment
- must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
- ability to walk or stand for extended periods during shifts
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally 50 pounds
- ability to perform repetitive motions
- punctuality and regular attendance for scheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience
- knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- good working knowledge of food preparation
- familiarity with kitchen equipment
- must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
Job Duties
- Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations
- follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs
- taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment
- ensure significant walking or other means of mobility during shifts
- stand or walk for extended periods of time, which may exceed 8 hours
- reach, bend, stoop, push or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- perform repetitive motions
- attend work and report for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- complete other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
