The role of Cook is integral to our kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to recipe standards, with a particular focus on chicken dishes and side preparations. This position requires a dedicated team player who can maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety throughout their shift. You will assist other team members, such as cashiers and packline operators, to ensure a smooth workflow and excellent customer service. Beyond cooking duties, you will be tasked with managing inventory levels by ensuring cabinets are stocked with fresh products and correctly discarding any food waste according to company procedures.

Our kitchen environment is fast-paced and requires a candidate who can adapt quickly to changing demands while demonstrating strong organizational skills and sound judgment in decision making. The Cook position is nonexempt and hourly, with a competitive pay range of $20 to $22 per hour. This at-will employment opportunity allows flexibility for both the employee and employer, promoting a positive and productive working relationship. You will be expected to uphold company standards, participate in safety meetings, and engage in ongoing training to enhance your skills and knowledge.

As part of your daily responsibilities, you will be expected to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in both the kitchen and surrounding work areas. This includes washing dishes during slower periods and prepping side dishes in advance for upcoming service times. Familiarity with equipment such as deep fryers, pressure fryers, ovens, and soda machines will be essential for success in this role. Additionally, the position does not require any driving duties or travel.
