Job Requirements

must complete a background investigation with favorable results
must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical
must obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler's training
must be a U.S. citizen or non-U.S. national meeting residency requirements
must be registered for Selective Service if born after December 31, 1959
must be able to provide a REAL ID or authorized combination of identity documents
direct deposit required
must satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify)
probationary period may be required
pre-employment requirements must be met before Entrance on Duty

Job Qualifications

experience in food preparation and presentation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club, or similar food activity is preferred
ability to follow oral and written instructions
knowledge of operating and cleaning food service equipment
knowledge of characteristics of various foods
ability to season food and determine when foods are done is preferred
physically able to frequently lift 40 pounds
able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods
ability to work safely
able to perform simple arithmetic

Job Duties

perform a full range of simple cooking tasks such as preparing pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and vegetables
prepare hot cereals, broiled meats, concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces, and gravies
make cold sandwich fillings
prepare convenience items such as frozen hash browns, fish fillets, and chicken nuggets
prepare and bake pizza as assigned
prepare food by peeling, chopping, grinding, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring, or breading
weigh, measure and assemble ingredients
set up and replenish salad bar
portion foods for distribution and meal service
cover, date, and store leftovers according to procedures
wash and clean kitchen equipment
mix ingredients according to written recipes to produce quality products
perform other related duties as assigned
