Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe Food Safety Certificate
  • Experience in institutional cooking preferred
  • Ability to adhere to food safety regulations
  • Capability to work full time

  • Physical ability to perform cooking and food preparation tasks

Job Qualifications

  • ServSafe Food Safety Certificate required
  • Two years of institutional cooking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and dietary instructions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Practice sanitation according to Serve Safe guidelines
  • Prepare catering functions on time and as ordered
  • Ensure patient meals are made according to prescribed diets and delivered on time
  • Maintain proper temperature of all foods served in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menus
  • Monitor and ensure food safety and quality standards are met
  • Participate in other related duties and special projects as assigned
