Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe Food Safety Certificate
- Experience in institutional cooking preferred
- Ability to adhere to food safety regulations
- Capability to work full time
- Attention to detail
- Physical ability to perform cooking and food preparation tasks
Job Qualifications
- ServSafe Food Safety Certificate required
- Two years of institutional cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary instructions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Job Duties
- Practice sanitation according to Serve Safe guidelines
- Prepare catering functions on time and as ordered
- Ensure patient meals are made according to prescribed diets and delivered on time
- Maintain proper temperature of all foods served in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Prepare cafeteria meals according to specific menus
- Monitor and ensure food safety and quality standards are met
- Participate in other related duties and special projects as assigned
