The company embraces strong family values and is dedicated to building an organization where employees are inspired to grow both personally and professionally. Panda Restaurant Group continues to expand its presence globally while remaining committed to positively impacting its team members and the communities in which it operates.
As a Cook at Panda, you will play a vital role as one of the key leaders within the kitchen team, bringing passion to food preparation, heart to customer service, and pride to the ambiance of the restaurant. In this fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, you will have the opportunity to participate directly in the success of the business by supporting the creation of a welcoming atmosphere for guests and maintaining high standards of food quality consistent with company recipes. Your responsibilities will also include guiding and assisting the kitchen team with training, performing all back-of-house duties, and ensuring that each dish meets Panda’s strict standards. This position offers a chance to work in a vibrant setting where your skills and leadership can flourish.
Panda values its associates deeply, recognizing them as the heart and soul of the company. The Cook role not only emphasizes culinary skills but also interpersonal abilities, with expectations to communicate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and manage difficult situations professionally. The physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, working in a hot and noisy kitchen environment, and precise handling of kitchen equipment. Panda supports its employees with hands-on paid training, ongoing career and leadership development, and opportunities for advancement into management positions.
Employment is hourly, with pay ranging from $24 to $27 per hour based on factors such as location and experience. Panda offers flexible schedules to accommodate employees’ needs. Benefits for full-time associates include medical, vision, dental, voluntary short-term disability, cancer income protection insurance, health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, a 401K plan with company match, paid vacation, sick leave, bereavement/funeral leave, plus various associate discounts and referral bonuses. The company is committed to equal opportunity employment and provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities during the hiring process.
Being part of the Panda team means joining a company that values its people as its greatest asset and works continually to foster a supportive, inclusive workplace. Whether you are passionate about food preparation, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, or are looking to build a rewarding career in the hospitality industry, this Cook position at Panda offers a dynamic, stable, and fulfilling opportunity.
