The role offered here is a full-time Food Handler position with a competitive wage of $19.19 per hour. As a Food Handler at the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center, you will be responsible for preparing all center meals in strict compliance with pre-planned menus and government as well as management directives. Key functions include assisting in instructing cook helpers and work-based learning students on safe, hygienic food preparation and serving methods; maintaining the kitchen and equipment in clean, safe, and orderly condition; preparing food for special center functions and visitors; overseeing stockroom commodities and recommending replenishment items; and supporting a positive customer service environment throughout the facility. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation will ensure that every meal served meets quality standards and regulatory guidelines.

This position requires a responsible individual who can lift and carry up to 25 pounds and holds a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Having ServSafe Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of employment is mandatory.
