As a Cook at Red Lobster, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and portion controls, ensuring the quality and freshness of all ingredients. You will support the team by setting up and stocking preparation and line stations, cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils, and maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. This role requires physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • Must meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop and safely lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for an 8 to 12-hour shift
  • Ability to work as part of a team with attention to detail and multitasking capability

Job Qualifications

  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Accommodate and stock preparation and line stations
  • Clean, disinfect and organize kitchen area, equipment and utensils
  • Check quality and freshness of ingredients
  • Prepare, season and cook foods following recipes, specified quantities and portion control systems
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas, utensils and equipment to ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food handling practices
  • Substitute or assist other cooks and kitchen stations during peak times
