Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to prepare well-balanced meals and follow recipes
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Compassionate attitude toward working with seniors
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the kitchen during shifts
- Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds
- Ability to work safely in a kitchen environment with heat and kitchen equipment

Job Duties
- Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and recipes
- Ensuring meals meet quality, nutrition, and presentation standards
- Assisting with weekly menu planning based on resident needs and preferences
- Following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment
- Monitoring food inventory and assisting with supply ordering
- Recording required temperature logs and sanitation documentation
- Engaging with residents in a friendly and respectful manner
- Working collaboratively with the dining services team to ensure smooth meal service
