We are currently looking to add experienced cooks to our team. The ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, working quickly and efficiently to prepare and present food orders while upholding the highest company standards. This role involves a variety of essential responsibilities including setting up workstations, preparing ingredients by chopping and peeling, following recipes and presentation guidelines, and operating kitchen equipment safely. Cooks will also be responsible for ensuring food is presented attractively, maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen, monitoring the quality and storage of ingredients, and keeping stock levels sufficient through timely ordering. This position demands teamwork, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of kitchen operations to maintain the smooth flow of food preparation throughout the day. Our cooks are vital to the success of the cafe and bakery, contributing directly to the culinary experience we provide our guests. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience as cook
  • ability to stand for long periods of time and regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs
  • knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
  • ability to follow all sanitation procedures
  • ability to work in a team
  • basic math skills

  • Proven experience as cook
  • experience in using various cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
  • knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods such as grilling, baking, boiling
  • ability to follow all sanitation procedures

  • ability to read, write and comprehend instructions
  • basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, measuring
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • prepare ingredients to use in cooking such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • ensure all food and other items are stored properly
  • check quality of ingredients
  • monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
