At the British Airways Lounge in Seattle (location code SEA - 30192001), Sodexo is currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. This is a full-time position offering a competitive pay rate of $22.50 per hour. As a Cook at Sodexo, you will play a crucial role in preparing and presenting a variety of high-quality hot and cold foods for various meal periods and events. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will ensure that all dishes meet Sodexo's rigorous standards for quality, taste, presentation, and safety.
This role involves following specific recipes and food preparation guidelines to guarantee consistency and exceptional dining experiences. You will be responsible for managing your workstation efficiently, ensuring cleanliness and organization at all times. The position requires physical stamina and the ability to work on your feet for extended periods, including walking, standing, lifting, and performing repetitive motions as part of daily tasks. This role requires flexibility with open availability to work any shift as needed.
Beyond food preparation, the Cook I position supports the team by adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, assisting with inventory management, and participating in team efforts to maintain an efficient and enjoyable kitchen environment. Additional duties may be assigned depending on operational needs and client requirements.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of basic operation of kitchen equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good working knowledge of food preparation
- Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Willingness to perform repetitive motions
- Punctual attendance for scheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0 to 2 years of related work experience

Job Duties
- Prepare food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards
- Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food items
- Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records
- Attend work and arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
