Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes and quality standards
  • operate kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • monitor food quality and test for doneness
  • set up and break down workstations
  • serve food in proper portions
  • wash and disinfect kitchen areas and equipment
  • check temperatures of appliances and food
  • follow safety and security policies
  • report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • communicate clearly and professionally
  • develop positive relationships and support team goals
  • adhere to quality expectations
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and stooping
  • perform other reasonable duties as requested
