Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment is a vital component of the job including washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment in adherence to company policies and safety regulations. The employee must actively check appliance temperatures and food temperatures to guarantee safety and quality standards are met. Beyond food preparation, the role requires effective communication skills, professional appearance, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented kitchen environment. Emphasis is placed on following all safety and health guidelines rigorously, reporting potential hazards or maintenance needs, and participating in required safety training.
Physically, this role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and perform tasks involving bending, twisting, lifting, or carrying objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
