The Cook position at Wingstop plays a pivotal role in ensuring that every meal prepared meets the company’s high standards for quality, consistency, and safety. Serving as the backbone of the kitchen operations, the cook is responsible for preparing food items according to Wingstop’s recipes and procedures, maintaining compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, and contributing to a positive and efficient work environment. Job Requirements
- Guest service mentality with a genuine desire to serve the highest level of food and customer service to guests
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
- Manage multiple projects and timelines with urgency and follow-through
- Food Handler Certification is required
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
- Available to work flexible hours that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, late nights, and/or holidays
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Wingstop
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedures including but not limited to filtering and freshening of all fryer shortenings daily
- Properly learn and execute all cooking and saucing guidelines to ensure the highest quality food is prepared and packaged according to guidelines
- Ensure the proper amount and proportion of food is prepared to prevent food waste
- Read and understand order tickets and prepare orders promptly
- Coordinate and communicate ticket times to team members to ensure on-time delivery of guest orders within quoted readiness times
- Assist in keeping the kitchen clean throughout the shift maintaining clean as you go and consistently following closing sanitation procedures
