Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking or food prep experience
  • Knowledge of sanitation and food safety regulations
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Good organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills for logging and labeling
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and residents

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a cook or prep cook
  • Knowledge of sanitation guidelines and state regulations related to food safety
  • Ability to prepare meals suitable for various dietary textures
  • Basic management and communication skills
  • Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals following traditional recipes and according to diets
  • Have meals for chopped, ground and puree textures
  • Prepare prior meal prep as required
  • Maintain area clean and organized in accordance with sanitation guidelines
  • Work as prep cook on alternate days
  • Help with some food deliveries
  • Maintain refrigerators as clean and organized as possible
  • Follow all required logging, cooking temperature, cooling temperature, fridge temperature, labeling as regulated by state
  • Provide management oversight for staff regarding cleaning, answering phones, and dealing with residents
