The role of the Cook is fundamental to the restaurant’s kitchen operations. The individual is responsible for cooking, preparing, and packaging food products following strict operational and quality standards. This involves working at various food preparation stations such as the dresser, front swamp, back swamp, and grill, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. In addition to food preparation, the Cook is expected to perform cleaning and sanitation duties regularly. These responsibilities include disposing of trash, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food prep areas, cleaning kitchen equipment, and managing grease disposal processes. The position demands physical stamina and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds are routine. Exposure to varying temperature conditions, such as heat from cooking equipment and freezer storage areas, is typical. Beyond the core responsibilities, the Cook must also handle customer or employee complaints by reporting issues to the MOD and perform other job-related duties as assigned. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Cook, prepare, and package food product pursuant to operational and quality standards
