The role of Cook at GBMC HealthCare involves the preparation of hot and cold food items for a variety of individuals including patients, employees, staff, and visitors, adhering strictly to established recipes and menus. Working under direct supervision, this position requires proficiency in basic cooking skills as well as the ability to measure and mix ingredients accurately. The cook will utilize various kitchen utensils, grills, and equipment to ensure food is prepared safely and to the highest standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting patient care by providing nutritious and appealing meals that meet specific dietary needs and accommodate age-related factors when applicable.
