Job Description
Wingstop - FWS is an independently owned and operated franchisee dedicated to delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service. Wingstop has established itself as a leading brand in the quick-service restaurant industry, specializing in perfectly cooked chicken wings with a variety of flavorful sauces. Known for its commitment to quality, food safety, and consumer satisfaction, the company operates multiple locations that emphasize a culture of teamwork, integrity, and consistent excellence in every aspect of operation.
As a cashier at Wingstop, you will play an essential role in the customer experience by ensuring smooth, accurate, and friendly transactions while maintaining the high standards of the brand. Although the role title is cashier, the responsibilities and expectations extend to supporting kitchen operations and upholding company policies, particularly those related to food safety and sanitation.
This position demands individuals with a guest service mentality, calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Working at Wingstop means you have the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team environment where collaboration, communication, and positive attitudes are highly valued. The position is hourly, offering a pay range of $20 to $23 per hour, reflecting the level of responsibility and skill required.
The role includes preparing and maintaining quality food items, specifically focusing on cooking and saucing guidelines established by the company. You will be tasked with ensuring the proper amount and proportion of food is prepared per order to minimize waste without compromising quality. You will also be involved in reading order tickets accurately to prepare timely and correct orders, coordinating with your team to meet guest expectations with punctuality and excellence.
Attention to sanitation is critical, requiring you to follow and enforce all safety and hygiene procedures including daily care of fryer shortenings and overall kitchen cleanliness during and after shifts. You will partner closely with the manager on duty to address any safety, sanitation, or team-related issues, fostering a safe and positive working environment.
Wingstop values employees who anticipate guest and restaurant needs by observing environmental cues and responding proactively. This role encourages continuous learning and development, including the opportunity to assist in training new team members and contributing to the overall team’s success by demonstrating leadership qualities and adherence to company values.
The ideal candidate for this role is one who thrives in a fast-paced setting, demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, and is dedicated to maintaining excellent food and guest service standards. Flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and late nights, is expected to meet the demands of the business.
Working as a cashier at Wingstop also means you will enjoy various company benefits if you meet eligibility requirements. These include medical, dental, and vision insurance packages, life insurance options, 401k retirement plans with company matching, and paid time off. This employment opportunity offers stability, growth, and a supportive environment aligned with a well-known brand committed to quality and customer satisfaction.
