Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years old or older
- able to lift and carry supplies up to 50 lbs
- able to stand and walk for 4 to 8 hour shifts
- able to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
- able to communicate in English
- meet state local food handling regulations
- ability to work with potentially hazardous chemicals
- meet Denny's uniform and grooming standards
- able to pass required tests and training
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior cooking or kitchen experience preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to read and follow recipe specifications
- basic math skills
- strong product and menu knowledge
- excellent guest service skills
Job Duties
- Prepare cook and present food to order following company menu and food specifications
- adhere to safe food handling regulations
- maintain proper food temperatures
- prepare special orders as requested
- maintain stock to shift par levels
- organize and maintain work areas coolers and storage areas
- clean and care for kitchen equipment
