The role of Cook at Red Lobster is a critical position responsible for ensuring the highest quality food preparation and kitchen operations. This part-time position offers hourly pay ranging from USD $17.81 to USD $25.00. Cooks play a vital role in delivering consistent, fresh, and delicious seafood dishes by setting up and stocking prep and line stations, maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils, and checking ingredient quality and freshness. Cooks must prep, season, and cook menu items according to established recipes and specifications while adhering to portion control systems. Ensuring food safety, sanitation, and compliance with health regulations is essential, as is supporting the team by substituting or assisting other kitchen staff during busy periods. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-energy kitchen environment. This role requires physical stamina to bend, reach, stoop, lift up to 60 pounds safely, and remain standing for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. Job Duties

  • Setting up and stocking prep and line stations
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils
  • Checking the quality and freshness of ingredients
  • Prepping, seasoning, and cooking food according to recipes, quantity calls, and specification while maintaining portion control systems
  • Inspecting food preparation and serving areas, tools, and equipment to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
  • Substituting for or assisting other cooks and kitchen positions during peak business periods
