This position is for a Cook based in Ashland, Oregon. It is a full-time, onsite role within the education segment of Elior Collegiate Dining. The hourly compensation for this position is $18. The Cook will be part of a highly motivated and energetic kitchen staff tasked with preparing quality, delicious meals in a fast-paced and efficient environment. The role requires a passion for scratch cooking and an ability to work collaboratively while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to high culinary standards. This position is ideal for someone who is driven and passionate about cooking and serving high-quality meals, and who seeks to grow personally and professionally within a supportive organization.

The Cook’s responsibilities include managing food preparation, ensuring quality and portion control, creatively presenting food, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, properly storing food items, and strictly following food safety policies, procedures, and recipes. The ideal candidate brings at least one year of experience in a quality, high-volume culinary setting, with strong knowledge of culinary methods, techniques, and standards. They must be capable of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have experience using a variety of kitchen equipment and tools. Customer service experience is also required, underscoring the importance of a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with colleagues and guests.
