At Outback Steakhouse, the culture is deeply rooted in respect, camaraderie, and enthusiasm, fostering an atmosphere where both customers and employees, known as Outbackers, feel valued and appreciated. The company prides itself on treating people "Just Right," creating a workplace that encourages growth, opportunity, and a genuine connection to the brand's mission and values. Out West Restaurant Group not only emphasizes exceptional customer service but also places a strong focus on employee development, making it an excellent place for individuals seeking both fun and a long-term career.
The role available is a Line Cook position within Out West Restaurant Group, where employees contribute to creating an AUS-SOME dining experience by preparing high-quality food items across various kitchen stations including Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill, and Make-Up, as well as Kitchen Prep. This hourly, non-exempt role offers a competitive pay range of $17.50 to $20.00 per hour and is not eligible for tips. Employees in this role benefit from a comprehensive package including health insurance covering medical, dental, and vision for eligible employees, paid sick leave in accordance with California laws, and a paid day off after 90 days of employment. Additional perks include growth opportunities through the Shift Leader program, a hospitable culture that recognizes hard work and leadership, a flexible schedule, meal discounts, and access to a company-sponsored Employee Assistance Program. The company also observes closures on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day to allow employees time with family and friends. Out West Restaurant Group emphasizes fair employment practices, equal opportunity, and compliance with relevant labor laws, ensuring a supportive and equitable workplace. This position represents a chance to join a well-established, award-winning franchisee that values community service and the well-being of its team members, making it ideal for motivated individuals seeking to grow their careers in the restaurant industry.
