The role being offered is for a Cook position based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, within Elior Collegiate Dining’s division serving the JCC of Pittsburgh. This is a full-time, onsite role with a competitive wage of $20 per hour, specifically tailored for individuals who are passionate about cooking and thrive in high-energy, fast-paced kitchen environments. The ideal candidate will join a motivated and energetic kitchen team where their culinary creativity and attention to detail will shine. The Cook will be responsible for preparing meals from scratch, ensuring portion quality, maintaining proper food storage, and adhering strictly to food safety policies and procedures. This role demands strong multitasking abilities and a solid familiarity with culinary methods and kitchen equipment. Job Requirements

  • At least one year prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking
  • working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
  • excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
  • ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools
  • customer service experience
  • food handlers certification preferred
