Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Food safety certification required and must be obtained within 3 months of hire
  • One year of relevant food production experience required
  • One year of specialized culinary training or institutional/retail cooking experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare foods for patients, guests, residents, and employees according to dietary requirements and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and kitchen areas
  • Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of cooking equipment and supplies
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and obtain required certification within stipulated time
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of food supplies
  • Collaborate with healthcare and kitchen staff to ensure meal quality and timely service
  • Support the overall hygiene and safety protocols in the service area
