Job Duties
- Prepare all soups, stocks, and sauces
- boil, braise, and roast items as per standardized recipes
- saute, fry, grill, steam, puree, and bake items according to recipes
- complete paperwork and clean equipment
- assist with kitchen sanitation
- maintain the hot food line and service to residents
- ensure proper food temperatures and quality
- communicate entree choices and serve proper portions
- prepare salads, desserts, and baked goods per standardized recipes
- follow food production sheets and meal schedules
- comply with sanitation standards and OBRA guidelines
- maintain cleanliness and personal hygiene
- monitor, teach, redirect, and discipline production and waited service staff
- participate in pre-service meetings and menu planning
- comply with dietary restrictions
- follow safety regulations and HACCP guidelines
- maintain workstation safety and sanitation
- attend training sessions
- perform assigned duties
- identify safety hazards and respond properly
- model Cottage Grove Place's expectations
- follow employee handbook policies and procedures
- maintain resident confidentiality
