This opportunity is for the role of a Cook located at The National WWII Museum under the Sodexo Live brand. The position is offered as either full-time or part-time employment, with a pay range from $14.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience and shift allocation. This role is an excellent fit for those with a passion for food preparation and providing superior customer service in a dynamic and respectful work environment. The Cook will prepare a variety of nourishing dishes and be responsible for efficient food handling practices to reduce waste. The role requires open availability for varying shifts, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and occasionally special catered events.

The Cook at Sodexo Live is more than just a food preparer; it is a role that demands teamwork, adaptability, and a proactive approach towards maintaining a healthy and safe work environment. Duties include following recipes accurately, preparing food for a la carte and grill stations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through the quality and presentation of meals. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work varying shifts with open availability preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and safety practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks safely
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different kitchen environments

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods
  • Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business and client needs
