Job Description

Sodexo Live at Virginia Beach Convention Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join their team on a part-time basis. As a Cook, you will play an essential role within the Sodexo Live team. Your responsibilities will include preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. You will be expected to follow recipes and product directions meticulously, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a commitment to food safety and quality standards. The role may also involve operating grill stations or serving customers, contributing to the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere that Sodexo Live is known for.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare portion cook and present a variety of hot and cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast lunch dinner and special catered events
  • Read and follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing various food items
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and or operate a grill station
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Work collaboratively with team members to reduce food waste
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on client requirements and business needs
