The role of Cook within the Culinary team is ideal for those passionate about culinary arts who want to grow their talents, learn new cooking procedures, and work alongside world-class culinary leaders. This position involves assisting the Chef in preparing food for various kitchen services including fine dining, banquet cooking, and cafeteria service. Job Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Ability to work a variety of day, night and weekend shifts
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Willingness to obtain active Food handler’s certification
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently

Job Duties

  • Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods such as grill, sauté and fry
  • Experience using knives and various kitchen equipment
  • Recreate recipes consistently
  • Maintain consistency in all food preparation
  • Minimize food waste through cross utilization
  • Work with a world class culinary team
  • Create workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking such as chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure proper storage of all food and other items
  • Responsible for the quality of ingredients
