Nexion is currently seeking a Dietary Cook to join their team, ideally someone with experience in long-term care dietary settings. This position is essential in providing residents with nutritious and well-balanced diets tailored to meet their daily nutritional and special dietary requirements. The Dietary Cook plays a critical role in preparing and serving meals that are not only palatable but also aligned with dietary guidelines, ensuring residents' satisfaction and health. In addition to cooking, the role includes assisting with dishwashing and other cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe food preparation environment. The position requires a Safe Food Handling Certification, emphasizing the importance of food safety standards. Compensation starts at $13 per hour, with an additional raise of $0.10 per year of experience up to 10 years, reflecting the company’s appreciation for expertise and dedication.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Prepares and serves palatable, nourishing, well-balanced diets to meet daily nutritional and special dietary needs of each resident
- Assists in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks

- Ensures compliance with safe food handling certification standards
- Collaborates with dietary and healthcare staff to accommodate resident dietary restrictions
- Monitors inventory and notifies management of supply needs
- Adheres to all health and safety regulations
