Job Requirements
- Experience preparing food and working with food service equipment
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop frequently
- Ability to pass an essential job function test
- Availability to work assigned shifts including early mornings and weekends
- Completion of a criminal background check
- Willingness to work in a team environment adhering to all safety and hygiene standards
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- Experience preparing food and working with food service equipment
- Experience providing customer service, either internal or external customers
- Education and/or training on basics of food safety
Job Duties
- Train and guide student workers
- Adhere to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
- Perform routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
- Clean, inspect, and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas
- Greet customers, answer questions, and provide information regarding food preparation and associated activities
- Cover shifts for other cooks during scheduled days off and weekends
- Ensure continuous compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
